It’s well known that the greatest defense against an intruder is the sound of a gun hammer being pulled back. All these gun shootings that have gone down in America since 1950, only one or maybe two have happened in non-gun-free zones.
Take mass shootings.
They’ve only happened in places that don’t allow guns. These people are sick in the head and are going to kill innocent people. They are looking to slaughter defenseless human beings.
They do not want confrontation.
In all of our schools it is illegal to have guns on campus, so again and again these guys go and shoot up these f***ing schools because they know there are no guns there. They are monsters killing six-year-olds.”
Defend and Carry’s Response:
Vince Vaughn just earned himself a spot in the Defend and Carry Hall of Fame after declaring his support for the Second Amendment in a recent interview with British GQ. His argument is valid, backed up by both common sense and legitimate proof.
He claims that the vast majority of mass shootings happen in gun-free zones. That’s accurate. Columbine High School, Virginia Tech, and Aurora were all targeted by monsters that knew they’d be safe from the random open or concealed carrier. Vince is right-they’re not looking for confrontation, and what better place to go than a gun-free campus or facility.
Every single point made by Vaughn was clear and valid. Finally, we’ve got a celebrity that can effectively show their support for the Second Amendment while ripping apart anti-gunner opinions. A personal favorite quote from the interview: “It’s well known that the greatest defense against an intruder is the sound of a gun hammer being pulled back.” I couldn’t have said it better myself, Mr. Vaughn.
His words have already been heard by millions of American citizens. As a result of Vaughn’s notoriety, his opinion will send ripples of discussion around the globe. This is what we need.
Mainstream media spends an inordinate amount of time reporting exclusively on the negative stories involving guns. It’s great to see a pro Second Amendment opinion that has effectively diluted all of the biased, slanted bullshit in the news.
